Next Schumacher, Maldonado, and Scot Paul Di Resta all had frightning offs at Eau Rouge. In the end it was KKobayashi who was on top followed by Venezualan Pastor Maldonado, and Toro Rosso's Australian Daniel Ricciardo.
The weather did not improve for P2. Nico Rosberg was the first man out on track with 40 mins remaining, followed by, Team-mate Michael Schumacher, Charles Pic, Timo Glock, Heikki, and Lewis Ham. Kovalainen and Timo Glock both had spins at the top of Les Combe. It was Marussia's Charles Pic who topped the timesheets, with a non-competetive time in Marussias' 50th Grand Prix weekend.
